West Sixth: Lexington's Can-Do Brewery

Filed under:

In order to make a vibrant local community, it takes lots of small businesses working with one another toward the common goal of improving the town. In Lexington, we have an increasing number of local businesses focusing in on the big picture of boosting the general quality of life of community members.

In many ways, this all comes down to fun and the enjoyment of life. Great restaurants and shops devoted to hobbies and exercise. Out of the sea of shining examples, today we'd like to send a special shout-out to West Sixth Brewing Company. They make great beer and have established themselves as good caretakers of the community. As such, they are the first craft brewers in Kentucky to can their beer, which is good for the beer and good for our environment. And so tonight we shall raise a can to you, West Sixth!

For those interested in getting involved with Lexington's newest and coolest brewery, they offer a free Trailblazer program allowing for cooperation, communication and interaction with the brewery, its owners/employees, and its business/charity initiatives. Plus, Trailblazers are on the list for special events and free schwag.

Currently, West Sixth is brewing four varieties: West Sixth IPA Smithtown Brown Deliberation Amber Dead Heat Wheat

They're located at 501 West Sixth Street (go figure!) and open daily for business. Check 'em out and help support the local businesses that want to give back to you!In order to make a vibrant local community, it takes lots of small businesses working with one another toward the common goal of improving the town.
